Leadership – On intuition (I) by Jim Grant

Ripples of Intuition
What draws a distinction of the gambler and business man? I sense both have much in common. Each somehow taps into a synthetic sense, a something that if you ask them, neither can pinpoint exactly what it is. Ask and they drift into another place… their private space.
Intuition becomes possible when the knowing part reaches out in two directions:
the first pushes out and upwards, holding possibility asking what if?  The second reaches towards a something already complete, is born, alive, already living and is whole.
In business, every process is like ripples on water… asking three simple questions:
What …
1. Keeps you awake at night? (Illumination),
2. Is your understanding of it? (Vision) and;
3. What is the end product (or Union)?
